Update: 18 June 2017, pattern has been updated to reflect correct stitches!
So it’s been a while since I’ve been able to post any patterns up. I have made a few things, but I just haven’t had the time to sit down and type it all out. It’s been busy, and it’s been crazy these past few months! I know I’ve been MIA. Apologies! I do have some exciting news to share, because that’s one of the reasons why I haven’t been able to post anything lately. This was meant to have posted in March..! Oh were have the days gone!
Our little pumpkin will be here in October. Exciting! On wards to other things, I did make this duck pattern around Easter. It was meant for an Easter post, it also should have been a chicken as well for the Chinese New Year, but because of everything that’s happening and driving me crazy!!! I didn’t get to post this in time and decided I wanted to make a duck instead! So today’s post will be a cute spring duckling/duck. Whichever you decide to call it. Spring is still around, although I know in some parts it’s winter, like it is here. Better late then never!
We also shifted to a new place, so with packing and unpacking it has been a bit chaotic around the house. The internet provider that we went with also took their lovely time trying to get our net setup.. so that added onto the wait as well.. It’s good to say though that we have finished unpacking and have settled, so we are now trying to focus on other things.
Well, enough about my boring life.
You can purchase this spring ducking in my shop!
This pattern is worked in rounds, do not join rounds.

FO and leave a long tail for sewing onto the body.
Once you’ve created all the required parts, see the below photos for what the parts should look like.
Sew the beak onto the head. I find it’s easier to use pins to hold the beak in place. Lightly stuff the beak. Make sure to sew the beak into an arch to match a real beak.
Next, sew the wings and feet onto the body. Then sew the head onto the body.
After sewing the head onto the body, hot glue the pink blush felt onto the face, I placed it right under the eyes. I also put some hair onto the duckling’s head. Also hot glued the bow onto the body.
